CT /MR Syllabus

Goals for first year

  • Learn normal body CT anatomy

  • Learn the basic body CT search pattern

  • Become familiar with fluoroscopy

  • Become familiar with the different types of body imaging

  • Become familiar with acute pathologies and basic MRCP interpretation for call

Rotation 1

What to read (ordered by priority)

  • Overnight ER and inpatient CT

  • New ER and inpatient CT

  • Outpatient CT

Expectations

  • Try to spend about 30 minutes maximum on each study (better to read more cases and go over them with the attending for more directed learning)

  • Know the relevant history for each case. Bring questions!

  • Read 10-12 cases each day (when not on fluoro)

  • Review the first set of practice cases during the last week of rotation

Rotation 2

What to read (ordered by priority)

  • Overnight ER and inpatient CT/MRCP

  • New ER and inpatient CT/MRCP

  • Outpatient CT and MRCP

Expectations

  • Read 12-14 cases each day (when not on fluoro)

  • Review the second set of practice cases during the last week of rotation
